We Built a Game You Were Always Going to Lose.

Apollo Munich Health Insurance · Cheil India · Digital Game + Campaign · Creative Concept + Copywriting

My Role: I conceptualised and wrote the campaign — including the game mechanic, the losing moment, and the message that landed when it did.

The Brief: Ahead of World Mosquito Day, Apollo Munich Health Insurance wanted to drive awareness of their Dengue Care cover — but without the doom and gloom of a typical insurance ad. The insight was uncomfortable but true: no matter how careful you are, you can't swat every mosquito. So we didn't pretend you could.

The Idea: A game where players swatted mosquitoes off their screen — fast, fun, and impossible to win. The moment one got through, the game ended with a single line:

"Even one mosquito missed can be fatal. Secure your health with our Dengue Care cover."

The losing moment was the message. The frustration of missing just one became the most honest argument for insurance ever made — you can't control everything, but you can be covered for it.

Why It Worked: Most insurance campaigns sell fear. This one sold inevitability — and wrapped it in something people actually enjoyed. By the time the message appeared, the player had already proved the point themselves.
