Streetohome Foundation is Vancouver's organisation for homelessness systems change — working across housing, health, legal advocacy, and community support. As the organisation's Communications and Promotion Lead, I own the annual brand communications strategy: setting the editorial direction, defining the brand voice, and overseeing end-to-end production of all external-facing content across digital, social, print, and fundraising channels.
The challenge here is the same one that defines the best brand work anywhere: making a complex, emotionally layered subject land with clarity, urgency, and humanity — for donors, policy advocates, partner organisations, and the broader Vancouver public.
Since October 2024, the communications programme has delivered a 19.7% average LinkedIn engagement rate — against a nonprofit sector benchmark of 2–5% — with 61.2% of video content reaching audiences beyond existing followers.
